Good Bye to all

Dear parents, as I say good bye to the students and staff, I'd also like to let you know how much I have appreciated your support.  It's the parent involvement that makes the difference in a good school and a great school.  Tritt is definately a great school.  We have the top 5th grade writing scores in the county, and as always, we had excellent CRCT scores.  Test scores are very important, but what makes Tritt so special is the people.  Our staff is a family, and we take care of each other, especially our children. 

As I leave Tritt and welcome retirement, I want you all to know this has been the best job I've ever had. Mrs. Patterson is such a great addition to the administrative team. I've loved working with her the past 7 months as the Assistant Principal, and as a 3rd grade teacher before that. She will provide a flawless transition as we have a principal change. The next principal, Mrs. Karen Frost, is a wonderful person and has a great reputation for being an exceptional educator.  I know you will welcome her with open arms.

Happy Spring!

We are so happy it is Spring and the weather is getting warmer!  Everyone seems to have an extra bounce in their walk when the sun is shining!  As spring sports start back up, please be sure to keep attendance and homework completion a priority.  Although we believe that children learn so much from extra-curricular activities, missed assignments for late nights at baseball fields or dance recitals are not excused.  

We hope you all have a wonderful Spring Break!  Please be safe and have fun!  When we return, we will be preparing and giving the CRCT.  Attendance and punctuality is an absolute MUST from April 14-20.  The building will be un-accessible from 7:50-10:30.  Please do not attempt to visit during those hours on the above dates.  Please be sure to provide an environment that ensures plenty of rest and healthy meals (especially breakfast) for your child(ren).  Thank you!

Dr. Rutledge would like to thank everyone for their "congratulations" on the birth of her new granddaughter, Helen Sophia.  She is absolutely gorgeous!  The family and baby are doing great! 

We hope to see you at the following events:  Screen on the Green (April 24), Relay for Life Carnival (April 28), Relay for Life Softball Game (May 6), Field Days (May 19 & 20)!

 

Happy Heart Month!

February 8-12 is Teacher Appreciation Week - be sure to thank our AWESOME TRITT teachers!

Thank you PTA for a great DANCE!  We enjoyed seeing everyone there!  Our PE teachers, Mrs. Smarr and Coach Adams, did a great job preparing our students!

All of our After School Enrichment Programs have started, so please be sure to communicate transportation to your child's teacher and your child.

1st through 5th Graders:  Be sure to check out First in Math with your child!  Thanks to the PTA for funding the great program!

We loved seeing all of our "Dads" at Dads and Donuts and All Pro Dad's Breakfast!

Be sure that your child (children) are healthy before sending them to school!  We want to make sure everyone has an optimal learning environment!

Happy 2010!  We hope you had a great break and are ready to get back to "work"!  Our teachers and staff are eager to introduce new concepts and watch your children grow even more!  Please join us for a Brunch and Crunch on January 13th at 9:30 to learn more about assessments.

We are Thankful for our nurse, who makes sure we are feeling well.  

We are Thankful for our PTA and Foundation, who never seem to rest,

We are Thankful for all of our parents, who are the absolute best!

 

Tritt Tigers 2009-2010

We have started off the school year right with enthusiatic teachers and students!  Our holiday season is already under way and we look forward to the festivities in the near future.  Our standardized test scores for first, third and fifth grades have come in - third and fifth grade parents should hear from your classroom teacher about ITBS results.

As we look forward to a wonderful school year, we ask that you check your child's teacher's blog frequently to keep up with current events and news.
