2009-2010 Musical Opportunities
There are several musical opportunities for Tritt students during the 2009-1010 school year.
The Tritt Chorus is open to all students in the fourth and fifth grades. Rehearsals will be each Tuesday morning, at 7:20 A.M.-7:50 A.M., beginning mid-September. The chorus is a concert performing group. We sing in the community and will be presenting a chorus concert the end of January. Students may sign up for Tritt's Chorus during Meet and Greet, in the music room, as well as before and after school, August 10-14. The chorus outfit will be khaki pants and the Tritt blue polo-style shirt, which is part of the spiritwear choices.
The musical, "The Aristocats, Kids" will be offered as part of the Tritt Foundation's After School Enrichment Program, in September and October, with the performance the first week of October. It will be offered to second and third grade performers, plus a few fourth and fifth graders in principal roles. Registration will begin in August. Rehearsal days will be Mondays and Tuesdays.
The musical, "Annie, Jr." will be offered as part of the Tritt Foundation's After School Enrichment Program, also. This is open to fourth and fifth graders. Auditions for the acting roles will be held in mid-October. Rehearsals for all participants will begin the end of October. The performances will be in March. Rehearsals will be held on Tuesdays. If more than 70 students register, there will be two casts. If there are two casts, there will be rehearsals on Mondays and Tuesdays, during the months of January and February. "Annie, Jr" offers many acting roles for both boys and girls. Everyone who registers for the musical will be performing, on stage, in costume. Registration will begin in August.
