* We will have Field Day this Wednesday from 12-2pm.  Please make sure your child has suntan lotion, a hat (if they want one), and a water bottle.  This Thursday all the students who are not in Target will be helping with Field Day for the 4th and 5th graders in the morning.

* The Poetry Project is due on Thursday.  Please make sure your child is ready to read the poem aloud with fluency and expression and has a copy of their poem for everyone in the class.

* Our Author's Tea will be this Friday at 8:00am in our classroom.  We hope you'll be able to come and hear all the stories!

*Don't forget about the special Mother's Day Program this Friday at 8:30am.

*Our Author's Tea will be on May 16th from 8:00-9:00am.  Please be on time otherwise you may have a hard time finding a parking space because the Kindergarten Program is at 8:15ish.

*The manilla envelope that came home last Friday needs to be updated and signed on the back.  Also, please attach 4 stamps so I can mail you your child's report card at the end of the year.  I'll only use as many stamps as I need and will put the extras in the envelope.  Thanks!

*We will also be having a Father's Day lunch on Tuesday, May 20th.  If Dad can't make it, anyone (mom, grandpa, uncle, whoever!)can come instead.

*The last day of CRCT testing is tomorrow- yeah!!!  Everyone has done a great job so far and I'm proud of how hard everyone is trying.

*Moms- Save the date for May 9th at 8:15am for a special Mother's Day Program!

*Our auhor's tea will be on May 16th at 8:00am.  Hope to see you there!

*All books are due back to the Media Center on May 5th.

*The CRCT will be on Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday this week and Monday & Tuesday of next week.  Please make sure your child gets a good night's sleep, has 2 snacks, and has a few #2 pencils each day.  I know everyone is going to do great!  There will be no homework on the days we are testing.

*Mark your calendars for our Author's Tea on May 16th at 8:00am in our classroom.

*Don't forget about the Relay For Life Carnival this Thursday from 3:00-6:00.  They will be selling wrist bands for $12 tomorrow.  Checks need to be made out to "Kelly Amusement".  If you are able to come, look for me because I'm going to have Ryan there!

*All picture money and unwanted pictures are due this Friday, April 25th.

*I hope everyone had a great Spring Break.  I stayed home and spent time with Ryan.  His big accomplishments in the past two weeks are that he can roll over and hold his neck up all by himself!  He's already 3 months old and I can hardly believe it!!! 

*If you don't want the pictures that were sent home before Spring Break, please send them back or send in money for them.

*Please send in your child's typed Tiger Publishing story by this Thursday or Friday.  If you have any problems, please let me know.  Don't forget to send in two copies- thanks!

*We have been busy writing our Tiger Publishing stories in class. They will be sent home by the end of this week for you to proofread and type.  I'll send directions along with your child's story.  When you are proofreading it, please remember that it is their story and they are proud of it!   

*A Language Arts CRCT practice packet was sent home yesterday for homework this week.  If your child doesn't know an answer, please feel free to explain it to them.

*Hat Day will be this Thursday.  Just bring in $1 and you can wear a hat!  All money goes to Relay for Life.  Also, Friday will be crazy hair day and it's free!

*The AR goal for April is 8 stickers (1 sticker for picture books and 2 for chapter books).  Please encourage your child to read, read, read so they can make the goal!

*Thanks to Mrs. Homschek (Vincent's mom), Ms. Cheatham (Porter's mom), and Mrs. Mitchell (Gigi's mom) for going on our field trip with us last week!

*We need 2 more volunteers to go with us on our field trip this Friday.  Please email me if you are interested.  Please make sure your child wears tennis shoes on Friday because we'll be walking around and I want them to be comfortable.  I'll send home a reminder on Thursday about whether your child is buying a lunch or bringing one from home.

*Homework this week will be a CRCT practice packet.  They are not to write in the packet.  Their answers will go on the pink paper and are due this Friday.

*If you would like to be a chaperone on our field trip next Friday to New Echota, please let me know.  We need 3 chaperones and we'll be gone from 8:15-1:15ish.  Thanks!

*We need someone to watch Sherbert, our class hamster, over Spring Break.  If you are staying here and want a house guest, please let me know- PLEASE!!!

*Report Cards will be sent home this Thursday, so please be on the look out for them.  Since I wasn't here for almost the entire 9 weeks, the comments and grades are not from me.  If you have any questions or concerns though, please ask!

*It's great to be back!  It seems as if Mrs. Giuliano did a great job and left everything organized for me to pick up where she left off.      

*The AR goal for March is 8 stickers, so please encourage your child to meet this goal!

*A new Reading Log was sent home today if your child said they used it.  If you don't get one and want one, just let me know.

*We'll be going on a Field Trip next Tuesday.  It was paid for through Performing Arts money which was collected at the beginning of the school year.

*That's all I have for now!

*This will be the last Blog entry for a few weeks, because I will be having my baby this Thursday!!!  Tomorrow will be my last day until I return in early March.  I will be checking my email, so if you need me that's how you can contact me.  I know that Mrs. Giuliano will do an awesome job and that you'll support her.  I'll let everyone know when Ryan arrives and try to send a picture of the little guy!

*The new AR goal for January is 7 stickers- that's one more test than in December.

*The Book Report for January will be a Science Project and will be sent home today.  Please let me know if you have any questions about it.

*Your child's report card will be sent home on January 22nd, so please be looking for it.  Conference forms will be coming home for your other children at Tritt, but remember we already did our conferences early in October because of my maternity leave.
