Thank you for all of our class donations of tissues, pencil topper erasers, crayons, and markers! We are still in need of crayons and markers if you would like to donate. I appreciate all of your donations :) Also, a big thank you to everyone that came in to help with Valentine centers. The students had a fun day exchanging cards and even thanked each other for them :) They are so sweet!! I also enjoyed reading all of my cards and eating my special goodies too! I hope everyone enjoys the day off on Monday, February 20th for President's Day!

*Friday, 3/2-Spring Picture Day We will be having Spring Pictures this year on Friday, March 2. The students will have their individual picture as well as the CLASS picture taken that day. We are using a new company- School Pictures of Georgia- this school year you will receive a proof picture instead of a full package. If you are interested in purchasing the photo, there is an order form attached. If you are not interested, you do not have to return anything. Not only do you get great memories of your child and their class this school year, but you also are helping raise funds for your child’s school. Thank you!!
What We Are Learning This Week:
Reading- Comparing and contrasting fiction and non-fiction books and identifying main idea and details.
Writing-Continue with editing skills (correct capitalization, punctuation, subject/verb agreement, and spelling)
Word Work-identify, sort, spell, write, and brainstorm words with -ag, -eg, -ig, -og, -ug
Math-addition and subtraction to 18 (review strategies and practice, practice, practice), creating and solving own word problems (addition and subtraction)
Content-Science-Plants-identify all parts and basic needs of a plant
